Limaland and TRR Update: COVID-19

Greetings Cycling Friends,

We hope all of you are well and continue in good health through these difficult times both for the illness and dealing with quarantine measures.  Hopefully it’s apparent now why we were early in suspending group club activities as a reasonable precaution.  We had suspicion this was going to turn into weeks of disruption and that’s exactly what has happened.  As you realize, Ohio is under stay at home orders until May 1st as of now.  TRR will not do or recommend anything that we do not see as safe and/or in line with government orders.  Our board and Tour directors have reviewed the situation and provide the following updates:

Club Group rides are still suspended.  Even once they are re-opened it will likely be prudent to be careful about not showing up to rides ill, increased group distancing, etc.  We will offer suggestions once this changes.

-The April 25th meeting is postponed.  Since we went to a 2 meeting schedule this year instead of 3, we will likely reschedule for late May or June or whenever possible.

-All club projects for 2020 are on pause at this time: new member t-shirts, Ascend member clothing order, Riverwalk Keep Right safety project, likely all youth safety rodeos.

-We still encourage you to get out and ride with anyone within your immediate housing situation or close daily contact assuming you are not ill.  Or ride by yourself.  Please exercise increased precaution for all outdoor riding to avoid accidents.  The roads are actually with slightly less traffic at this time.

Limaland NOTICE:  Tour Registration is temporarily suspended as of April 11th.  We are monitoring the details of the Covid-19 situations both local and regional as well as quarantine restrictions.  On or before May 2nd we will re-open registration or have to suspend the tour for 2020.  We have to be sure we can offer a quality and safe event for all participants and volunteers as well as adhering to government requirements.  All options and ideas are currently being reviewed for how and if we can host a responsible tour.  The reality is that we might have to cancel.  The hope and reasonable assumption is that it will be possible to host a modified tour.  We hope everyone is well and will do our best to do the safest and best for all.  Thank you for all of your support and understanding.  We wish everyone safety, good health and enjoyable riding in 2020.  ~Team Roadrunners Bicycle Club
