Hello Cycling Friends! As we approach the middle of May, we anticipate club rides will begin again in the coming weeks and possibly by the end of the month. We do have a couple of updates. It’s not easy to determine the correct or even best path to take. Regardless, decisions have been made and we’ll move forward and make the best of this year.
– After discussion and review of the current timing/situation, the 2020 Limaland Tour is canceled. The time was becoming too short to line up supplies, volunteers and there was some doubt about what the status of things will be by June. It’s not easy to host a tour and it seemed in the best interest of the club not to pursue it this year. As of now we’ll plan to resume in 2021 as good or better than before.
– We still encourage riding. Be cautious as usual and if you do ride with/near others, distancing is encouraged. As more people start to head back onto the roads be alert to the increased and possibly rusty-skilled drivers. Although we can’t say for sure when normal club rides will be back on, we anticipate by June or before to resume. We will still request anyone with illness to stay home and be respectful of each other. And nobody will be expected to ride in groups if that’s not your preference.
Stay Safe, ride a lot and look forward to better days ahead!
